ON THE MOUNTAIN:
- The Market Deli @ Wintergreen - Located just a short drive from our house, the market has a selection of wine, groceries (including fruits and veggies), frozen foods, a small section of sundries and a terrific deli. We love their pizza and the hot Cuban sandwich. Need s'mores supplies or a hot chocolate, they have you covered, too.
- The Edge - also located at Wintergreen, this casual restaurant has something for everyone. You can even take a seat at the bar and watch a game. Need dinner to go? You can place an order online HERE.
- Upper Crust - pizza for dine-in or take out. You can call ahead 434- 325-8108 or order online HERE.
IN THE VALLEY:
Breakfast, Brunch, Baked Goods and Ice Cream
- Sweet Bliss Bakery - Lisa is the owner of this local bakery. She is only open Wednesday - Saturday 9:30 - 2, but so worth it to pop in and pick up some treats or a piece of freshly baked quiche. Celebrating a special occasion? She can whip a sweet concoction just for you!
- Basic Necessities - from a wine shop to Sunday brunch to a fancy dinner, this little restaurant is a gem. With some French flair, you can eat inside the house or out in the back garden when the weather is nice.
- Black Bear Creamery - This family run ice cream shop is a fun place to get a treat. Check their Facebook page for current flavors.
Lunch and Dinner
- Devils Backbone Brewing - Do not miss the Saturday Brisket! This is definitely a family friendly venue. There is corn hole and fire pits out front, a gift shop and a big restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They have great beers and a large bar area too. In the summertime there is an onsite seasonal bakery.
- Bold Rock Cider - They have a small but good menu to order. You place all orders for food at the counter where you pick up the cider. I recommend the Fried Chicken Sandwich. In addition, they have a roaring fireplace and board games to play. In better weather venture outside to the deck and take in the lovely view of the meadow and mountains.
- Blue Mountain Brewery - If you need options, Blue Mountain has a large and varied menu. If you have diet sensitivities, they have a large gluten-free menu and a some fun options for kids.
- Blue Ridge Pig - If you are wanting a local hangout otherwise known as a "hole in the wall", stop here. They have made everything from scratch served up to you on paper plates through the door! This place has flair! Great for take out if you do not feel like cooking.
- Stoney Creek Bar and Grill - After a couple rounds of golf sit down and relax here. With views of the beautiful course and indoor and outdoor seating, this is an easy stop for lunch.
